Submissions open for 2017 International Prize for Fiction

The International Prize for Arabic Fiction is delighted to announce that submissions are open for the ninth edition of the prize, which will be awarded in 2017.

Under prize rules, a publisher is able to submit three novels which have been published for the first time between the 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2016, before the closing date of 30 June 2016. Books written by previously shortlisted authors are granted automatic entry and will be accepted in addition to the publisher's other three submissions.

Electronic books are not eligible, nor are those previously published in installments (in print or online) before July 2015.

The winner of the 2016 prize will be announced at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday 26 April, on the eve of the opening of the Abu Dhabi Book Fair.
