Hussam Maskari is an Omani writer, born in Ibra, Al-Sharqiyah, Oman, in 1989. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technical College of Muscat and works as an engineer on projects for the Petroleum Development Oman company. He has taken part in several editions of the Al-Multaqa Short Story competition for young writers, organised by the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Culture, and his story “What Doesn’t Belong to Him” won second place. His short story collection, entitled How Do I Know That I Am Not The Person I See In the Mirror, was published in 2022.
