Frankenstein in Baghdad makes 2018 Man Booker International Prize shortlist!

2014 International Prize for Arabic Fiction winner, Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawi, is one of the six novels still in the running for the 2018 Man Booker International Prize. The shortlist was announced yesterday at a party in London. Saadawi’s remarkable novel was translated into English by Jonathan Wright and published by Oneworld Publications.
The Man Booker International Prize celebrates the finest works of translated fiction from around the world. It is awarded every year for a single book, which is translated into English and published in the UK.
The winner will be announced on 22 May at a dinner at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
